Lindbjergskolen
Step into next level schooling.
As a pioneering project that redefines traditional schooling, this school is all but conventional. Unlike the majority of Denmark's schools, it doesn't offer classrooms, nor typical libraries, laboratories, or playgrounds. Instead, over 950 students can enjoy learning in labs with a clear academic coding designed for each specific subject.

The main idea behind this game-changing object is in the attempt to incorporate the principles of nature into architecture. The gentle, natural color palette, minimalistic yet so effective rooms, and eco-friendly materials make this school the ideal place for learning, growth, and socializing.
Every detail is carefully thought-out to boost imagination, interaction, and learning through unconventional methods. As a result, students have been given subject-specific labs organized to facilitate learning thanks to interior design, furnishings, and décor connected to a specific subject.
The rooms are designed to offer flexible solutions and multiuse objects so the final result is pretty stunning. Meter-high climbing paths. Rooms with lectern and stage boxes. Meeting room with plateaus. Small cabins for group work. Own closets. Built-in atrium where plants can be grown. Too good to be true? Not in this school!
Thanks to the creative superpower of NERD architects who collaborated with HOLMRIS B8, who supplied nearly all the furnishing, this school is more than an educational institution. Here, you can see not only holes in the floor for play, three-foot-high climbing walls that encourage movement but also the rooms with lectern and platforms with no tables or chairs.
Finally, the soft furnishings are enriched by multiuse storage provided by the flexible KEEP storage system. Shelves, lockers, drawers, and padded inserts will give students all the flexibility they need for either free time or study time.
